Important Safety Information for NAD+ Injections

Warnings:

• NAD (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) medications should not be used along with other medications containing NAD, or NAD-like medications.
• Do not use larger doses or frequencies than what is prescribed by your doctor.
• NAD should be injected under your skin, subcutaneously. Be sure that you are administering this medication properly to avoid increased irritation or injection site reactions.
• Do not use this medication during pregnancy, when trying to become pregnant, or while breastfeeding.
• You may need additional monitoring, or this medication may not be appropriate for you if you also have cardiovascular, autoimmune, or metabolic medical conditions.

Contraindications (situations where this shouldn’t be used):

• If you have a known hypersensitivity to NAD or any of the components of this injection, you should not use this medication.
• If you are currently pregnant or breastfeeding, you should not use this medication.
• If you have a current uncontrolled chronic illness, ongoing cancer treatment, or an active infection, you should not use this medication.

Before taking this medication:

You should not use NAD+ if you are allergic to it, or:

• You have a known allergic reaction to NAD or NAD-like medications.
• You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• You are under 18 years of age.

Let your doctor know if you have ever had:

• Cancer treatment or history
• Uncontrolled chronic illness
• Liver disease
• Kidney disease
• Uncontrolled diabetes
• Cardiovascular disease, including an arrhythmia or high blood pressure
• A current active infection

Drug Interactions:

• It may be possible that other drugs, over-the-counter medications, or supplements interact with NAD. Be sure to tell your doctor about all other medications and supplements that you use before starting on this treatment.
• Other medications containing NAD, or NAD-like medications.
• NAD medications may affect mitochondrial function and oxidative metabolism.
• Caution should be used if you use other medications that affect energy metabolism, including corticosteroids, insulin, or diabetes medications including metformin.
• Caution should be used with blood-thinning medications due to the injection route of this medication.
• There may be an interaction between NAD and taking high-dose Niacin supplements.
• There may be an interaction with cardiovascular medications including those used for high blood pressure or an irregular heart rate or rhythm.
• There may be an interaction with immunosuppressive or chemotherapy medications.

Side Effects:

Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction to NAD+:

• Hives, itching, dizziness, fast heartbeat, difficulty breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

More serious side effects of NAD+ include:

• Severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis, difficulty breathing, rash, swelling)
• Dizziness
• Fainting
• Prolonged and severe fatigue or flu-like symptoms
• Flushing along with a rapid heartbeat

Common NAD+ side effects may include:

• Mild warmth or flushing
• Feeling lightheaded
• Mild and temporary fatigue
• Mild nausea
• Pain, redness, swelling, or tenderness at the injection site
